This Is Our Story
Chantz
Hi, I'm Chantz, one half of Being Bedingfield. My love of traveling started when a family member gave me a big book called "It's a big big world atlas." I spent hours exploring each continent, and so, my travel bucket list started taking shape in my dreams.
After university I had the opportunity to work on a world cruise as a fitness instructor. When I joined the cruise ship, it was just finishing up its Alaskan season. My most memorable experience on that leg was a floatplane tour through the misty fjords of Ketchikan. Thereafter we cruised the Caribbean and Mexico for 3 months. The highlight being all the stunning beaches and of course, Mexican food. Finally we started the world cruise. 126 days, 6 continents and 31 countries. We started in Fort Lauderdale and ended in New York. The entire experience made my childhood dreams come true... exploring the whole world! A few highlights are Bora Bora, exploring the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, seeing the pyramids, visiting Olympia where the ancient Olympic Games were held, going to Pompei and many many more. After this I felt like I've only scratched the surface of seeing the world.
Since then I've been to Vietnam, Mozambique and a couple of cruises to the Portuguese Islands. When I met Craig, I was so happy to learn that he also had a thirst for travel. Together we have been to Seychelles, Thailand, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
Ever since I got my first iPhone, my love of videography and editing started. When I found out that Craig also loved making videos, it was a no-brainer to start our very own YouTube Channel.
Howzit, I'm Craig, the other half of Being Bedingfield. My love for travelling first started when I went to study at the University of Cape Town. I spent four years living in Cape Town and really enjoyed the beauty that the City had to offer. From the day I graduated, I had dreams of travelling the world. In 2016 I went to visit family in Canada and loved every second of my freezing cold holiday. I learnt how to snowboard and enjoyed a lovely balance of mountains and cities as I fought to stay warm at a chilly -30 degrees Celsius. Since my Canada trip, I have travelled to Seychelles, Thailand, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia with Chantal by my side. I have a huge passion for aviation and flying. My journey to see the world has just begun!

The Bedingfields
We met in 2016 at a famous horse race in our city, the Durban July. We got engaged in 2017, married in 2018 and started our YouTube Channel in 2019.
We recently sold all our belongings and moved to New Zealand with just a suitcase and backpack each. We love South Africa and all it has to offer,
and you can check out all our adventures on our channel. But for now we are documenting our experience of settling down in a new country.
